KARIN NYBOM studied at The School of Music and Musicology at Göteborgs universitet 1997–2000, and got her Master of Fine Arts at University College of Opera in Stockholm 2004. During her studies Karin made her stage debut as Erste Blumenmädchen in Wagner´s ”Parsifal” at The Royal Opera in Stockholm, and sung the same role at Värmlandsoperan. She has since sung Alice Ford in Verdi’s ”Falstaff” at Schloss Rheinsberg Operafestival, Polly Peachum in John Gay’s ”The Beggar’s Opera” at Läckö Castle and toured with The Drottningholm Opera in Rameau’s ”Zoroastre”.
Karin is a versatile singer and likes to mix genres such as chamber music, operetta, musical and jazz. She has toured with Inger Wikström’s Nordisk Kammaropera in several operas for children, and also with Opera Light.
Karin has also sung roles such as Hanna Glavari, Micaela, The Countess, Pamina and Papagena.
